Our charter
The principles that guide the Villes et Jardins Lions network.
A network of Lions-labelled gardens
Organise, through synergy between clubs, a genuine network of Lions-labelled gardens, urban parks and remarkable spaces, in partnership with municipalities and private owners.
Uniting local clubs
Centralize Lions Clubs' initiatives to give their environmental actions more visibility and impact, and foster exchanges between French and Italian clubs.
Raising youth awareness
Introduce young people to the importance of trees, flowers and insects for the balance of our cities.
Our actions
A network of Lions-labelled gardens and urban parks, in partnership with municipalities and private owners. Ideas born from exchanges between clubs, to be adapted locally.
Educational greenhouse
An educational greenhouse in a municipal garden where children discover planting, growing and tasting fruit and vegetables, and the role of pollinating insects.
Tree planting for everyone
Stalls selling young olive trees or other saplings at a token price (around €10), which anyone can plant themselves in parks that lack them, with the club's help.
Inclusive sensory trails
Creation of sensory trails in the gardens for people with disabilities, autism, or Alzheimer's, inspired by the Lions network's sensory gardens.
Themed trails
Botanical or historical trails in the network's gardens and parks, built in partnership between neighbouring clubs.
Cultural events
Photo and drawing competitions, and cultural events organised in the network's labelled gardens and natural spaces.
Lions signage
Permanent signage at the entrance of the towns and parks involved, to highlight and showcase the clubs' civic actions.
